How was your talk meaningful for Blockchain Expo attendees?
“I’m spoke on a panel about blockchain for the entertainment industry. Blockchain technology has come a long way in the last few years, and we are just starting to see the beginnings of commercialization. Entrepreneurs have been working hard on creating new systems that are the second wave of decentralization.
Similar to how Uber has turned any given car into a cab, blockchain technology takes that concept of decentralization and choice even further. The entertainment industry much like the “taxi mafias” may be a similar comparison, as blockchain can make it possible for artists to claim distribution and royalties for their creations without having to get past a gatekeeper like Harvey Weinstein.”
What specific tips or insights did attendees get?
“As an entrepreneur, angel investor, and writer in the blockchain space, I’ve had a front-row seat to see the most innovative ideas come to life. Billions of dollars globally and thousands of the most talented people have poured into the space. Exciting things that pull on the very fabric of how society and business work are being created and deployed and you would be crazy not to pay attention.”
Why did you decide to give this talk?
“The Blockchain Expo team reached out to me and asked me to attend. It’s an honor to share my expertise and knowledge with attendees.”
